Cai is a beautiful lurcher, whom I treated when she was 4 1/2 years old. She had broken her back leg as a puppy in a rough-and-tumble game. Her leg was pinned and she spent many months shut in a stable to recuperate. Her owners, having decided not to put her down (she had been bred as a working dog) put her up for adoption.
When her new owner got her she was very unwell, with much muscle wastage and lacking mobility. Her new owner brought her back to health but Cai still seemed in pain and depressed.
Her first treatment went well. There was considerable improvement in her mobility and she seemed more cheerful. She needed another treatment the next month as she had begun to slip back. When I saw her, she put her hips under my hand as I was chatting to her owners – she definitely wanted another treatment!
This treatment was very successful and Cai has been mobile and happy since then.
